Overnight, Angela made the brave decision to go on the raw vegan diet. This was not an easy decision for her, but she knew that if she didn't take action at this stage in her life - nothing would ever change. She attempted to go 100% raw, but after one week, admits that this was simply too harsh for her to take on immediately. Thus, she went 70% raw. Eating a diet primarily consisting of fresh, uncooked fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, juices, sprouts and dried fruit, Angela lost 105lbs (47kg) in the first year.

Angela achieved much success in the years to follow, with weight loss steadily taking its course on the raw food diet. She experienced not only a profound physical healing, but also a complete emotional and spiritual overhaul. Angela expresses this stage of her life as "clearing away the debris of my past and embracing the power of the present."

In 2005 Angela found that she had inadvertently become 100% raw. Since this year, Angela has only eaten raw foods, and has never returned to her former diet. She states: "It was a very natural and smooth move to 100% raw." Angela finally reached her healthy weight of 138lbs (62kg). She has maintained her weight since then, and has stuck to her raw food diet with much ease. Angela is now married to the love of her life Matthew Monarch, and together they wholeheartedly embrace the raw food lifestyle, along with their latest family addition!
