Wordpress in subdirectory

Hi all,

hope someone is able to help me out here.

In my root, there's a SLIM application running smoothly.

There are a couple of routes, two of them being:

$app->get('/:a', function ($a) use ($app) {

$app->get('/:a/:b/', function ($a, $b) use ($app) {

Now I have placed a Wordpress instance in a subdirectory called /blog. When I call, the Wordpress blog page is shown although there is this "/:a" route.

Whenever I click an article of that blog (/blog/abc-def), the 404 page of SLIM is shown.

Why does calling /blog work but /blog/abc-def is triggering the SLIM 404 page?

Thanks a lot!
