rendering a template without echoing it

Hi guys, I'm quite new to slim but I am using it with the slim extras twig view class and basically I would like to know how I can use twig to compile a template without echoing it, it's for creating email's within my app so once twig has compiled the template with the necessary data I will be using swiftmailer to email it out
