Disable the 500 fatal error screen

We are trying to work with Slim but Slim is smarter then we are unfortunatly.

We use a try catch block in a code, to connect to another API. When there is a problem with that external API an exception is thrown.

But as I said Slim is smarter then we are, and decides to throw out a 500 internal server error and stops running code all together. And prompts us with a Slim stacktrace.

This is not what we want.

So is it possible to let us handle our own errors without Slim thinking it is smarter and knows what we want?

Thanks in advance,

If this is Slim 2.x, then you should turn off debug in your config.
