Age - as we grow older certain muscles begin to slack and loose some of its elasticity which causes an obstruction in the airways. There is no way of turning back the hands of time to reduce the age and make the muscles regain their elasticity and stiffness snoring aids are used to deal with this problem.

Sleeping Position - if you sleep on your back then often times this is probably the reason for your snoring and could easily be stopped without any stress. Try sleeping on your side as this will give you allowance to breath. You could also try elevating the head by using several pillows to make sure you allow an easy breathing without causing any obstruction.

Cold and Nasal congestion - snoring is sometimes caused by cold or nasal congestion which causes an obstruction in the free flow of air. Many remedies are readily available for the treatment of these common ailments that causes snoring. If you don't know what steps to take in curing these minor problems then I advice you go see your doctor.
